CODE OF CONDUCT
Introduction
Residus is founded on the philosophy of Luxury Scandinavian Basics — a value that shapes everything we do. It defines our design language, how we build relationships, and how we take responsibility for our impact. Our garments are made to last, thoughtfully designed and responsibly produced. Every piece in our collection is 100% traceable through a unique QR code that reveals each step of its journey — from fiber to finished garment. We work closely with two trusted factories in Portugal, chosen for their high standards in quality, safety, and sustainability.
Partners
We believe in building long-term, transparent, and fair partnerships. All Residus partners — including suppliers, manufacturers, and agents — are expected to share our values and comply with this Code of Conduct. Each partner must ensure that this Code is respected not only within their own operations but also throughout their subcontractors and supply chain. We value openness, honesty, and mutual growth — and seek partners who are willing to develop alongside us.
Our Responsibility
Residus’ model for responsibility is based on four interconnected areas: Environmental, Social, Ethical, and Financial responsibility.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact throughout our entire value chain. Our garments are produced using carefully selected, certified materials that meet strict sustainability and traceability standards. We only work with fibers and fabrics that hold recognized certifications — such as GOTS, GRS, Oeko-Tex or equivalent — ensuring that every step of production follows verified environmental and social criteria.
Every garment is 100% traceable through its QR code, showing its full journey from fiber to finished piece. Using Kering’s Environmental Profit & Loss (EP&L;) methodology, we measure and communicate the environmental savings for each product, including:
- Water savings
- Carbon dioxide savings
- Land use savings
We collaborate only with partners who demonstrate transparency and continuous improvement in their environmental performance, and who comply with all local and international standards for chemical, water, and energy management.
Social Responsibility
We expect our suppliers to uphold fair labor conditions and safe workplaces. Workers must be treated with dignity and respect. We support partners who invest in education, training, and continuous improvement for their employees.
Ethical Responsibility
Integrity is fundamental to how we do business. We act with honesty, transparency, and respect — and expect the same from our partners. Corruption, discrimination, or exploitation in any form will not be tolerated.
Financial Responsibility
We value long-term relationships built on stability and fairness. Our partners must operate with sound business ethics and clear financial accountability.
Compliance and Monitoring
Residus aims to visit each manufacturing partner annually to maintain close collaboration and ensure compliance with this Code of Conduct. Any breach of Level One (“Must Have”) requirements may result in immediate action or termination of the partnership. Breaches of Level Two (“Should Have”) requirements must be addressed through documented improvement plans.

Level One – Must Have
